Senior Resident - Obstetrics and Gynaecology

The Senior Resident - Obstetrics and Gynaecology will support obstetrics and gynaecology services, labour room care, antenatal and postnatal monitoring, emergency womens health support, procedure assistance, and clinical documentation at BLK-Max Hospital, Kanpur. This requires MS or DNB qualification with 0–5 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist consultants in OPD, IPD, labour room, emergency, and OT activities.
• Monitor antenatal, postnatal, high-risk pregnancy, and gynecology patients.
• Support normal deliveries, C-sections, and gynecological procedures under guidance.
• Review investigations, fetal monitoring, ultrasound reports, and patient condition.
• Maintain labour records, progress notes, prescriptions, consent forms, and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate with consultants, OT, NICU, anesthesia, nursing, lab, and blood bank teams.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and escalate critical cases promptly.
• Counsel patients and attendants under consultant guidance.
• Follow maternal safety, infection control, and ethical care standards.
• Participate in rounds, case discussions, and academic activities.
• Maintain accurate handover between shifts and departments.
• Ensure safe and timely obstetrics and gynaecology support.
