Attending Consultant - Obstetrics and Gynaecology

The Attending Consultant - Obstetrics and Gynaecology will manage womens healthcare, antenatal care, labour room support, gynecological consultation, procedures, emergency care, and patient counselling at BLK-Max Hospital, Kanpur. This requires MS or DNB qualification with 0–5 years of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage obstetrics and gynaecology patients in OPD, IPD, emergency, and labour room.
• Provide antenatal, postnatal, high-risk pregnancy, and gynecological care.
• Assist or perform deliveries, C-sections, and gynecological procedures as per experience.
• Review fetal monitoring, ultrasound reports, lab reports, and patient progress.
• Coordinate with OT, NICU, anesthesia, nursing, laboratory, and blood bank teams.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and escalate complex cases when needed.
• Maintain prescriptions, progress notes, consent forms, labour records, and discharge summaries.
• Counsel patients regarding pregnancy care, treatment options, procedures, and follow-up.
• Follow maternal safety, infection control, patient privacy, and ethical care standards.
• Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement activities.
• Support smooth labour room and gynecology service workflow.
• Ensure compassionate, safe, and patient-centered womens healthcare.
