Professor - Urology

The Professor – Urology will be responsible for leading academic teaching, clinical urology services, surgical training, research, and departmental development. This requires advanced expertise in urinary tract disorders, male reproductive health, endourology, reconstructive urology, and urological surgery. The candidate will mentor students and residents, manage complex urology cases, perform advanced procedures, and contribute to institutional excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead academic teaching for undergraduate, postgraduate, and urology trainees.
• Diagnose and manage urological disorders involving kidneys, bladder, prostate, urethra, and male reproductive system.
• Perform and supervise urological procedures, surgeries, endoscopic interventions, and emergency urology care.
• Conduct ward rounds, OPD consultations, case discussions, seminars, and bedside teaching sessions.
• Guide residents and students in clinical training, dissertations, research projects, and publications.
• Provide expert consultation for kidney stones, prostate diseases, urinary obstruction, urological cancers, and infections.
• Coordinate with nephrology, radiology, oncology, surgery, critical care, and pathology teams for patient care.
• Develop teaching schedules, clinical protocols, academic materials, and assessment methods.
• Ensure proper documentation of clinical findings, operative notes, consent forms, and follow-up care.
• Promote evidence-based urology practice, surgical safety, infection control, and ethical care.
• Participate in academic committees, examinations, faculty meetings, and institutional planning.
• Support clinical audits, morbidity reviews, patient safety initiatives, and quality improvement programs.
• Organize or participate in CME programs, workshops, conferences, and surgical skill training sessions.
• Mentor junior faculty, residents, and clinical teams to improve academic and surgical performance.
• Contribute to growth of advanced urology services, research output, and departmental excellence.
