Consultant - Radiology

The Consultant – Radiology will be responsible for performing and interpreting a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, guiding interventional procedures, and collaborating with clinical departments for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. This requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and attention to detail.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and mammography.
• Provide accurate and timely radiology reports to support clinical decision-making.
• Perform and supervise image-guided interventional procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and drainages.
• Ensure optimal utilization and functioning of radiology equipment and imaging modalities.
• Collaborate with clinicians, surgeons, and other specialists for diagnostic and treatment planning.
• Manage emergency radiology services including trauma and critical care imaging.
• Review and correlate imaging findings with clinical data for accurate diagnosis.
• Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of all radiological procedures.
• Supervise junior radiologists, technicians, and support staff in the department.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and tumor boards.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control in imaging services.
• Monitor and maintain imaging equipment in coordination with biomedical teams.
• Stay updated with advancements in radiology techniques and imaging technologies.
