Sr. Manager – Hospital Billing (Cash, Corporate & Insurance)

The Sr. Manager – Hospital Billing will be responsible for supervising end-to-end billing operations, including patient billing, insurance claims, corporate accounts, and collections. This requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of healthcare billing systems, and the ability to manage complex financial workflows.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversee complete hospital billing operations including OPD, IPD, emergency, and procedure billing.
• Manage billing processes for cash patients, corporate clients, and insurance/TPA cases.
• Ensure accurate and timely generation of patient bills and invoices.
• Supervise claim submission, processing, and follow-up with insurance companies and TPAs.
• Monitor and reduce claim denials, rejections, and billing discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies, insurance guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with clinical departments to ensure accurate charge capture and documentation.
• Lead and manage the billing team, including training, performance monitoring, and workflow optimization.
• Develop and implement billing policies, SOPs, and best practices.
• Monitor revenue cycle performance and implement strategies to improve collections and reduce AR (Accounts Receivable).
• Handle escalations related to billing disputes, patient concerns, and insurance issues.
• Ensure smooth coordination between billing, finance, insurance, and front office teams.
• Prepare and present billing reports, revenue analysis, and MIS to senior management.
• Conduct regular audits of billing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage corporate tie-ups, pricing agreements, and billing structures.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of payments, collections, and outstanding dues.
• Support discharge processes by ensuring timely billing clearance for patients.
• Maintain strong relationships with insurance providers, TPAs, and corporate clients.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for audits and claims processing.
• entify opportunities for process improvement and automation in billing operations.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of patient financial data.
• Stay updated with healthcare billing regulations, insurance policies, and industry trends.
• Participate in accreditation and compliance-related activities.
