Nuclear Medicine Technician

We are looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technician for the Nuclear Medicine department at Manipal Hospitals, Delhi. The candidate will support nuclear medicine procedures, PET CT operations, patient preparation, radiation safety practices, imaging workflow, and documentation. The requires technical knowledge of nuclear medicine technology, patient care skills, safety awareness, and experience in diagnostic imaging support.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Assist in nuclear medicine and PET CT procedures as per department protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain basic process instructions.
• Support handling and administration coordination of radiopharmaceuticals under supervision.
• Operate nuclear medicine equipment as per approved safety guidelines.
• Follow radiation safety protocols for patients, staff, and work areas.
• Maintain accurate procedure records, patient details, and imaging documentation.
• Coordinate with doctors, radiologists, physicists, and nursing staff when required.
• Ensure equipment readiness, cleanliness, and basic functionality before procedures.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report discomfort or complications immediately.
• Support quality control checks and equipment calibration documentation.
• Maintain radioactive material handling records as per regulatory requirements.
• Ensure safe disposal and storage practices related to nuclear medicine materials.
• Assist in scheduling, patient flow management, and report coordination.
• Follow hospital infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality standards.
