Unit Bio Medical Engineering

We are looking for a Unit Biomedical Engineering professional for the Biomedical Engineering department at Manipal Hospitals, Bengaluru. The candidate will manage biomedical equipment maintenance, asset tracking, preventive maintenance, breakdown resolution, and technical coordination. The requires strong biomedical engineering knowledge, equipment maintenance experience, vendor coordination, and hospital technical service expertise.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Manage biomedical equipment maintenance across assigned hospital units.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, calibration, and safety checks of medical equipment.
• Attend equipment breakdown calls and ensure timely service resolution.
• Coordinate with vendors, service engineers, and clinical departments for repairs.
• Maintain biomedical asset records, service history, AMC details, and calibration reports.
• Monitor equipment uptime and support reduction of technical downtime.
• Ensure safe use of medical equipment by clinical and nursing teams.
• Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new biomedical equipment.
• Maintain compliance with hospital biomedical engineering and safety standards.
• Track spare parts, service requirements, and equipment replacement needs.
• Train users on basic handling, cleaning, and safe operation of equipment.
• Prepare daily, monthly, and audit-related biomedical reports.
• Coordinate with ICU, OT, emergency, diagnostics, and ward departments.
• Ensure proper documentation for regulatory, accreditation, and internal audits.
