Pulmonology Technician

The Pulmonology Technician will support PFT testing, respiratory diagnostic procedures, patient preparation, equipment handling, and pulmonology documentation at Fortis, Noida. This requires Diploma or Bachelor in Pulmonary Function Technology or relevant qualification with 1–8 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for spirometry, PFT, DLCO, and other pulmonary function procedures.
• Explain breathing steps clearly and encourage correct patient effort during tests.
• Operate respiratory diagnostic equipment under department protocol.
• Record patient data, test results, equipment logs, and daily procedure details.
• Clean and disinfect mouthpieces, tubing, filters, and testing equipment.
• Coordinate with pulmonology doctors, OPD staff, ICU, nursing, and billing teams.
• Report patient discomfort, abnormal test response, or technical issues to seniors.
• Maintain test area cleanliness, equipment readiness, and stock of consumables.
• Follow respiratory infection control, PPE, and patient safety guidelines.
• Provide accurate and patient-friendly pulmonology technical support.
