Senior Nurse - Operation Theater

We are looking for a Senior Nurse - Operation Theater for the Operation Theatre department at Manipal Hospitals, Delhi. The candidate will support OT nursing care, surgical preparation, procedure assistance, sterilization coordination, patient safety, and OT documentation. The requires experience in OT nursing, surgical workflow, infection control, and team coordination.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Prepare operation theatre rooms, instruments, and supplies before surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and anesthetists during OT procedures as per clinical protocols.
• Ensure proper patient identification, consent verification, and pre-operative preparation.
• Maintain sterile field and follow strict infection control practices inside OT.
• Support patient positioning, monitoring, and safe transfer before and after surgery.
• Handle surgical instruments, consumables, and OT equipment carefully.
• Maintain accurate OT nursing records, surgical checklists, and procedure documentation.
• Coordinate with CSSD, anesthesia, nursing, ICU, and recovery teams.
• Monitor availability of emergency medicines, surgical supplies, and OT consumables.
• Guide junior OT nurses and support staff in safe OT practices.
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or procedural delays to seniors.
• Support post-operative handover with complete patient and procedure details.
• Follow biomedical waste management and OT hygiene standards.
• Maintain patient dignity, confidentiality, and safety throughout surgical care.
