Job Description
The Technical Assistant - Operator will be responsible for supporting production, packing, machine operation, material handling, equipment cleaning, line clearance support, and documentation activities in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This requires basic technical knowledge, GMP awareness, SOP discipline, safety practices, and the ability to work under supervisor guidance to ensure smooth, timely, and quality-compliant shop-floor operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate assigned machines and equipment as per approved SOPs and supervisor instructions.
- Support daily production or packing activities as per batch plan and work allocation.
- Assist in material handling, machine setup, area preparation, and process execution.
- Perform equipment cleaning, area cleaning, batch changeover, and housekeeping activities.
- Verify product name, batch number, material details, equipment status, and cleanliness before starting work.
- Support line clearance activities under QA or supervisor guidance.
- Monitor machine operation, output, rejection, process observations, and basic quality checks.
- Maintain equipment logbooks, cleaning records, production entries, and material usage records accurately.
- Report machine breakdowns, abnormal observations, material shortages, or quality issues to seniors promptly.
- Follow GMP, GDP, SOPs, data integrity, hygiene, PPE, and safety requirements.
- Handle raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, or packing materials carefully to avoid mix-up or contamination.
- Coordinate with production, packing, QA, warehouse, and engineering teams when required.
- Support reconciliation of materials and completion of batch-related documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and proper arrangement of the work area.
- Ensure safe, timely, and quality-focused technical operations support.
