The Medical Administrator will be responsible for managing hospital administrative operations, clinical coordination, patient care processes, departmental workflow, compliance, and service quality. This requires MBBS with MBA Hospital Administration, healthcare management knowledge, leadership skills, and strong coordination with doctors, nursing, operations, billing, and support departments. The candidate will ensure smooth hospital functioning, patient safety, documentation quality, and efficient healthcare service delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage daily hospital administration across clinical, nursing, diagnostic, and support departments.
- Coordinate with consultants, medical officers, nursing heads, and department managers.
- Monitor patient care processes, hospital workflow, and service quality standards.
- Implement hospital policies, SOPs, clinical protocols, and operational guidelines.
- Support admission, discharge, emergency, ICU, OT, and ward coordination activities.
- Handle patient care escalations, service delays, complaints, and interdepartmental issues.
- Monitor clinical documentation, consent forms, medico-legal records, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, infection control, and patient safety initiatives.
- Coordinate manpower planning, duty rosters, and department-wise operational requirements.
- Support NABH, regulatory, statutory, and hospital accreditation-related activities.
- Review incident reports, complaints, and operational gaps for corrective actions.
- Prepare administrative reports, dashboards, and performance updates for management.
- Ensure smooth coordination between medical, nursing, billing, diagnostics, and administration teams.
- Promote ethical care, patient satisfaction, and professional hospital culture.
- Support continuous improvement in clinical governance and hospital operations.
