The Senior Manager - Maintenance will be responsible for leading hospital maintenance operations, facility upkeep, utility management, equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance. This requires Diploma or BE qualification, technical leadership, team supervision, vendor coordination, and strong knowledge of hospital infrastructure systems. The candidate will ensure uninterrupted hospital services through efficient maintenance planning, timely repairs, and compliance-focused facility management.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance operations for hospital building, utilities, equipment, and facility systems.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for critical hospital infrastructure.
- Supervise maintenance teams handling electrical, plumbing, HVAC, civil, and mechanical work.
- Ensure uninterrupted functioning of power supply, water systems, oxygen lines, lifts, and utilities.
- Coordinate with biomedical, engineering, housekeeping, security, and administration teams.
- Monitor breakdown complaints and ensure timely resolution with minimum service disruption.
- Manage vendor coordination, AMC follow-ups, spare parts planning, and service documentation.
- Maintain maintenance registers, equipment logs, work orders, and compliance records.
- Inspect hospital areas regularly for safety, repair needs, and facility improvement requirements.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety, electrical safety, infection control, and hospital safety standards.
- Support emergency maintenance response during power failure, leakage, equipment breakdown, or facility issues.
- Prepare maintenance budgets, material requirements, and monthly performance reports.
- Train maintenance staff on safety, technical work standards, and response protocols.
- Identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions for long-term reliability.
- Maintain a safe, clean, functional, and patient-friendly hospital environment.
