Facility Manager

The Facility Manager will be responsible for managing hospital facility operations, maintenance coordination, housekeeping, safety, utilities, vendor management, and infrastructure support. This requires strong operational planning, team supervision, problem-solving, and compliance knowledge. The candidate will ensure hospital premises remain clean, safe, functional, and patient-friendly while coordinating with engineering, housekeeping, security, administration, and external service providers.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage daily facility operations across hospital buildings, patient areas, utilities, and support services.
• Coordinate maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lifts, medical gas, and general infrastructure systems.
• Supervise housekeeping, security, maintenance, and facility support teams for smooth operations.
• Ensure hospital premises remain clean, safe, organized, and compliant with service standards.
• Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and follow up for timely completion of pending work.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, AMC providers, and service agencies for facility-related activities.
• Handle facility complaints from departments, patients, attendants, and staff with timely resolution.
• Monitor availability of water, power, air conditioning, waste disposal, and essential utilities.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, workplace safety, infection control, and hospital facility protocols.
• Maintain facility records, maintenance logs, vendor documents, inspection reports, and service trackers.
• Plan space utilization, repair work, minor renovations, and infrastructure improvement activities.
• Support emergency preparedness, disaster management, evacuation drills, and safety inspections.
• Monitor stock and usage of facility consumables, cleaning materials, and maintenance supplies.
• Prepare facility MIS reports, issue summaries, cost updates, and operational performance data.
• Drive continuous improvement in facility efficiency, patient comfort, and hospital safety standards.
