Lab Technician

The Lab Technician will be responsible for sample collection, sample processing, diagnostic testing, laboratory documentation, quality control support, equipment handling, and report coordination at Zydus Hospitals Family Clinic, Prahladnagar, Ahmedabad. This requires DMLT or B.Sc qualification with 2–7 years of laboratory experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collect, receive, label, and process patient samples as per laboratory SOPs.
• Perform routine pathology, hematology, biochemistry, and clinical pathology tests as assigned.
• Verify patient details, sample type, and test requests before processing.
• Maintain test records, sample registers, worksheets, equipment logs, and documentation.
• Support internal quality control and calibration-related activities.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, reception, sample collection, and reporting teams.
• Report abnormal findings, sample mismatch, rejection, or technical issues to seniors promptly.
• Follow biosafety, infection control, PPE, and biomedical waste management standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the laboratory work area.
• Ensure accurate, reliable, and timely diagnostic laboratory services.
