Clinical Assistant

The Clinical Assistant will support ICU patient care, clinical monitoring, consultant coordination, documentation, emergency response, and treatment follow-up at GCS Hospital, Ahmedabad. This requires BHMS or BAMS qualification with 1–2 years of ICU experience and good knowledge of critical patient monitoring and hospital clinical workflow.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist ICU doctors and consultants during rounds, procedures, and patient care activities.
• Monitor patient vitals, oxygen support, treatment response, and clinical condition.
• Record patient history, progress notes, investigation updates, and clinical observations.
• Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, billing, and patient care teams.
• Support admission, transfer, discharge, and ICU patient movement coordination.
• Review reports under senior guidance and inform doctors about abnormal findings.
• Respond to emergency calls and escalate critical patient changes promptly.
• Assist in documentation of treatment orders, medication updates, and handover notes.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient medical information and clinical records.
• Follow ICU protocols, infection control, PPE, and patient safety standards.
• Communicate with patients and attendants professionally under doctor guidance.
• Ensure timely and safe ICU clinical support services.
