Billing Manager Job in Ahmedabad at Epic Multispecialty Hospital

Job Description

The Billing Manager will manage hospital billing operations, OPD/IPD billing workflow, discharge billing, tariff control, billing team supervision, payment coordination, patient query handling, and financial documentation at EPIC Multispeciality Hospital, Ahmedabad. This requires a bachelors degree in commerce, accounting, or related field with MBA Finance preferred and 10–12 years of billing experience.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage complete OPD, IPD, emergency, procedure, diagnostic, package, and discharge billing operations.
  • Supervise billing executives and ensure accurate, timely, and transparent billing workflow.
  • Verify patient bills, doctor charges, procedure charges, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and package charges.
  • Monitor discharge billing clearance and coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, lab, radiology, TPA, accounts, and administration teams.
  • Review billing errors, missing charges, tariff mismatch, discounts, refunds, and billing disputes.
  • Ensure billing SOPs, tariff rules, approval process, financial controls, and documentation standards are followed.
  • Handle patient and attendant billing queries professionally and escalate critical issues when required.
  • Prepare daily billing reports, outstanding reports, collection reports, discharge reports, and billing MIS.
  • Coordinate with finance and accounts teams for reconciliation, collections, and payment tracking.
  • Train billing staff on hospital software, billing process, tariff usage, and patient communication.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
  • Ensure smooth, compliant, accurate, and patient-friendly billing department operations.
