Job Description:

Intas Pharmaceuticals is seeking a professional to work in Upstream Process Development (UPD), focusing on the development and optimization of biologics manufacturing processes. The involves designing and executing experiments to improve cell culture performance, supporting scale-up activities, and ensuring smooth technology transfer to manufacturing. The candidate will collaborate closely with multiple functions to resolve process challenges and ensure robust and scalable upstream processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and independently execute experiments for development and optimization of cell culture and fermentation processes, including batch, fed-batch, and perfusion systems
  • Develop upstream processes for monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) and non-MAb biologics with minimal supervision
  • Support technology transfer activities to ensure seamless transition from development to commercial manufacturing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Cell Line Development, Downstream Processing, Quality, and Analytical teams to address process-related challenges
  • Analyze data, interpret results, and recommend improvements or alternative approaches for process optimization
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings effectively
  • Ensure adherence to quality, regulatory, and documentation standards within the laboratory environment
