Optometrist

MGM Hospital is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care services, conduct vision assessments, and support early detection and management of visual disorders. The involves performing eye examinations, prescribing corrective lenses, and assisting in patient education and eye health awareness.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
• Diagnose refractive errors and prescribe appropriate corrective lenses.
• Perform visual acuity tests, refraction, and binocular vision assessments.
• Screen patients for common eye diseases and abnormalities.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care support for ophthalmic procedures.
• Assist ophthalmologists during eye examinations and minor procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of eye tests.
• Recommend suitable spectacles, contact lenses, or visual aids.
• Educate patients on eye care, hygiene, and preventive practices.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of optometry equipment.
• Coordinate with ophthalmology department for advanced diagnosis and treatment.
• Manage optical inventory and ensure availability of lenses and frames.
• Conduct vision screening camps and community eye health programs.
