The Resident Urology will provide urology clinical support, OPD and IPD patient care, surgical assistance, laparoscopy support, critical care coordination, and patient documentation at Fortis Hospitals, Mumbai. This requires MS, DNB Urology, or General Surgery qualification with 0–3 years of experience in urology, laparoscopy, critical care, and clinical care.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate urology patients in OPD, IPD, emergency, ward, OT, and referral areas.
- Support diagnosis and management of kidney stones, urinary tract infections, prostate disorders, bladder symptoms, urinary retention, and hematuria.
- Review urine reports, renal function tests, ultrasound, CT scan, blood reports, and patient history.
- Assist consultants during urology rounds, procedures, laparoscopy cases, catheter-related care, and discharge planning.
- Monitor post-operative patients for urine output, pain, fever, bleeding, infection, drains, and clinical progress.
- Coordinate with OT, ICU, nursing, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and billing departments.
- Maintain complete urology records including progress notes, procedure notes, prescriptions, consent support, and discharge summaries.
- Support emergency urology care and inform consultants about urgent findings immediately.
- Counsel patients and families under senior supervision regarding treatment, procedure process, and follow-up.
- Follow patient safety, infection control, surgical safety, and hospital documentation protocols.
- Maintain patient dignity, confidentiality, and professional communication.
- Deliver accurate, timely, and compassionate urology clinical support.
