Quality Control Officer - Sr Officer Job in mumbai at Lupin

Job Description

The Quality Control Officer - Sr. Officer will be responsible for performing analytical testing, reviewing laboratory data, handling QC instruments, and ensuring compliance with GLP, GMP, and data integrity standards. This requires strong knowledge of analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical testing methods, laboratory documentation, and quality systems. The candidate will support timely testing and release of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, and stability samples.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control testing of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, and stability samples.
  • Conduct analytical tests such as assay, impurities, identification, moisture, pH, residue, and related evaluations.
  • Operate analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, dissolution apparatus, and other QC equipment.
  • Prepare standards, reagents, mobile phases, buffers, sample solutions, and volumetric solutions as required.
  • Record raw data, chromatograms, calculations, observations, and worksheets accurately as per GLP.
  • Review test results against approved specifications and report OOS, OOT, or abnormal findings immediately.
  • Maintain instrument usage logs, calibration records, column records, sample records, and laboratory notebooks.
  • Follow GMP, GLP, safety, data integrity, and laboratory documentation requirements at all times.
  • Support analytical method verification, method transfer, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Coordinate with QA, production, warehouse, and stability teams for sample testing and release activities.
  • Participate in investigations related to OOS, OOT, deviations, analytical errors, and laboratory incidents.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, handling, and disposal of samples, standards, reagents, and chemicals.
  • Maintain cleanliness, chemical inventory, glassware, columns, and consumables in the QC laboratory.
  • Support audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance activities related to quality control operations.
  • Complete assigned testing and documentation within defined timelines without compromising accuracy.
