Senior Associate Consultant

The Senior Associate Consultant will be responsible for providing advanced clinical support, patient evaluation, treatment planning, consultant coordination, and specialty care delivery in a hospital environment. This requires strong medical expertise, sound clinical judgment, documentation accuracy, and leadership in patient management. The candidate will support consultants, guide junior doctors, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure safe, ethical, and evidence-based patient care.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide clinical consultation and patient care support in OPD, IPD, ICU, emergency, and specialty departments.
• Evaluate patient history, clinical condition, investigation reports, and treatment requirements.
• Assist senior consultants in diagnosis, treatment planning, procedures, and patient management decisions.
• Monitor admitted patients, review progress, and update treatment plans under consultant guidance.
• Guide clinical assistants, junior doctors, and medical staff in patient care and documentation.
• Coordinate with nursing, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, OT, ICU, billing, and admission teams.
• Review laboratory reports, imaging findings, and clinical records for timely medical action.
• Support pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care when applicable.
• Attend emergency calls, critical cases, and urgent clinical situations as required.
• Maintain accurate case sheets, prescriptions, progress notes, consent records, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate patient status, treatment updates, and clinical concerns to consultants and care teams.
• Counsel patients and relatives regarding diagnosis, treatment options, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, patient safety, and ethical medical practice.
• Participate in clinical audits, case discussions, morbidity reviews, and quality improvement activities.
• Promote evidence-based care, compassionate communication, and professional clinical standards.
