Doctor For Accident and Emergency

The Doctor For Accident & Emergency will manage emergency patient assessment, initial stabilization, urgent clinical treatment, emergency medicine support, trauma care, consultant escalation, and documentation at PD Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai. This requires 0–5 years of emergency medicine or hospital clinical experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend emergency and accident cases promptly during duty hours.
• Assess patient condition and provide initial stabilization as per emergency protocol.
• Manage trauma, fever, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, poisoning, surgical, and general emergency cases.
• Monitor vitals, emergency investigations, treatment response, and clinical progress.
• Coordinate with consultants, ICU, OT, radiology, laboratory, ambulance, blood bank, and nursing teams.
• Assist in resuscitation, wound care, emergency procedures, and urgent interventions.
• Maintain emergency records, prescriptions, MLC documentation, and handover notes.
• Escalate critical, complex, or high-risk cases to senior doctors immediately.
• Support admission, discharge, referral, and patient transfer processes.
• Communicate with attendants calmly and professionally under hospital policy.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, triage, and emergency SOPs.
• Ensure timely, safe, and professional emergency medical care.
