The Dietician will provide nutrition assessment, diet counselling, therapeutic meal planning, patient education, and diet chart preparation at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, Mumbai. This requires Post Graduate Diploma or Masters in Food & Nutrition preferred, with 2–3 years of experience in hospital dietetics, nutrition counselling, and medical dietetics.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patient nutritional needs based on diagnosis, age, medical condition, and doctor advice.
- Prepare therapeutic diet plans for diabetes, cardiac disease, renal disease, obesity, pregnancy, pediatric, and general health conditions.
- Counsel patients and attendants regarding diet, lifestyle, food choices, and follow-up care.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, kitchen, patient care, and clinical departments.
- Monitor patient food intake, tolerance, nutritional progress, and diet compliance.
- Prepare and update diet charts as per clinical requirement.
- Educate patients on balanced diet, portion control, hydration, and nutrition safety.
- Maintain diet counselling records, patient notes, and nutrition documentation.
- Ensure food quality, hygiene, and diet instructions are followed properly.
- Deliver patient-friendly, practical, and evidence-based nutrition guidance.
