Associate Consultant - NICU

Associate Consultant - NICU is responsible for managing neonatal intensive care patients, supporting premature and critically ill newborn care, pediatric emergency support, and NICU clinical documentation. The requires MD or DNB Pediatrics with NICU experience preferred and 0 to 5 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of pediatrics, neonatal care, emergency pediatric care, NICU monitoring, and family counselling.

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage newborns admitted in NICU and neonatal care units.
• Provide care for premature, low birth weight, and critically ill neonates.
• Monitor vital signs, oxygen support, feeding, and neonatal progress.
• Support neonatal resuscitation and emergency pediatric care.
• Coordinate with pediatricians, nurses, respiratory teams, and diagnostics.
• Review laboratory reports, imaging, and neonatal investigations.
• Maintain NICU records, clinical notes, and treatment documentation.
• Counsel parents about newborn condition, treatment, and follow-up.
• Follow infection control and neonatal patient safety standards.
• Support discharge planning and neonatal follow-up care.
• Participate in NICU audits, case discussions, and clinical meetings.
• Deliver safe, compassionate, and family-centered neonatal care.
