Lab Technician

Lab Technician is responsible for performing laboratory sample collection, diagnostic testing, quality control, calibration support, LIMS entry, and report coordination. The requires DMLT, BMLT, or B.Sc MLT qualification with 2 to 7 years of experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of lab instruments, diagnostics, sample handling, quality control, calibration, LIMS, and laboratory safety practices.

Role & Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and test patient samples as per laboratory protocols.
• Verify patient details before sample collection and testing.
• Perform routine diagnostic tests accurately and safely.
• Operate laboratory instruments and support calibration activities.
• Maintain quality control records and laboratory documentation.
• Enter test data and reports in LIMS or laboratory software.
• Follow biosafety, infection control, and hygiene guidelines.
• Handle emergency and priority samples with timely attention.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and reporting teams for test updates.
• Maintain sample registers, reagent records, and equipment logs.
• Report abnormal results or technical issues to seniors immediately.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and confidential laboratory service delivery.
