The Senior Resident Anaesthesiology will support anaesthesia care, pre-operative assessment, perioperative monitoring, ICU assistance, critical care support, emergency response, and anaesthesia documentation at Fortis Hospitals, Kolkata. This requires MD or DNB Anaesthesiology qualification with 0–5 years of experience in anaesthesiology, anaesthesia, intensive care, and critical care.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in pre-anaesthesia check-up and evaluate patient fitness for surgery or procedures.
- Support anaesthesia planning based on patient condition, procedure type, risk factors, and consultant guidance.
- Assist in administering general, regional, spinal, epidural, or local anaesthesia as per hospital protocol.
- Monitor airway, vitals, oxygenation, fluids, medication response, pain level, and recovery status during procedures.
- Support ICU and critical care services when anaesthesia or emergency support is required.
- Assist in airway management, resuscitation, pain control, and post-operative recovery care.
- Coordinate with surgeons, OT nurses, anaesthesia technicians, ICU, emergency, pharmacy, and nursing teams.
- Maintain anaesthesia records, PAC notes, consent forms, medication details, and procedure documentation.
- Report complications, adverse reactions, airway concerns, or critical patient changes promptly.
- Follow OT safety, infection control, anaesthesia protocols, and patient safety standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional clinical communication.
- Deliver safe, reliable, and patient-focused anaesthesia support.
