The Senior Resident Anaesthesiology will assist in anaesthesia care, pre-operative check-ups, ICU support, perioperative monitoring, airway management, and critical care services at Fortis Hospitals, Hyderabad. This requires MD or DNB Anaesthesiology qualification with 0–5 years of experience in anaesthesiology, anaesthesia, intensive care, and critical care.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Support pre-anaesthesia assessment and evaluate patient readiness for surgery or procedures.
- Assist consultants in planning anaesthesia technique based on patient history and surgical requirement.
- Monitor patients during surgery including vitals, oxygenation, airway, ECG, fluids, and drug response.
- Assist in general, regional, spinal, epidural, and local anaesthesia workflow as per hospital protocol.
- Support ICU care, emergency airway management, resuscitation, and post-operative recovery.
- Coordinate with OT, ICU, emergency, surgeons, nurses, anaesthesia technicians, and pharmacy teams.
- Maintain proper anaesthesia charts, PAC records, medication records, and procedure documentation.
- Identify complications, unstable vitals, adverse reactions, or airway risks and inform seniors immediately.
- Follow infection control, OT safety, medication safety, anaesthesia machine checks, and patient safety standards.
- Support safe transfer of patients from OT to recovery, ward, or ICU.
- Maintain calm communication with patients and clinical teams.
- Provide safe, reliable, and ethical anaesthesia support.
