The Senior Registrar Neurology will support neurological patient care, OPD and IPD neurology services, emergency neuro management, clinical assessment, consultant coordination, and documentation at Fortis Hospitals, Kolkata. This requires DM or DNB Neurology qualification with 1–8 years of experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Attend OPD, IPD, ICU, emergency, and referred neurology patients.
- Assess patients with stroke, seizures, headache, neuropathy, vertigo, movement disorders, weakness, and altered sensorium.
- Review CT, MRI, EEG, nerve conduction studies, lab reports, and clinical findings.
- Assist neurology consultants during rounds, diagnosis planning, procedures, referrals, and discharge planning.
- Monitor neurological status, GCS, motor power, seizure activity, treatment response, and clinical progress.
- Coordinate with ICU, emergency, radiology, physiotherapy, nursing, pharmacy, and laboratory teams.
- Support acute stroke care, seizure emergencies, neuro-critical referrals, and urgent escalation.
- Maintain consultation notes, progress records, prescriptions, procedure notes, and discharge summaries.
- Counsel patients and families under consultant guidance regarding diagnosis, medicines, rehabilitation, and follow-up.
- Follow neurology care protocols, patient safety, infection control, and documentation standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary care for complex neurological cases.
- Deliver timely, ethical, and patient-focused neurology care support.
