The Senior Registrar Neurology will provide neurological patient assessment, OPD and inpatient care support, neuro emergency assistance, consultant-led treatment coordination, and documentation at Fortis Hospitals, Hyderabad. This requires DM or DNB Neurology qualification with 1–8 years of experience in neurology, senior registrar duties, and clinical care.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with neurological concerns in OPD, IPD, ICU, emergency, and referral areas.
- Support diagnosis and management of stroke, epilepsy, migraine, neuropathy, neuro-infections, movement disorders, and altered consciousness.
- Review imaging reports, EEG, nerve conduction studies, lab reports, medication response, and clinical progress.
- Assist consultants during neurology rounds, emergency reviews, procedures, and discharge planning.
- Monitor neurological signs including consciousness, motor power, reflexes, speech, sensory changes, and seizure episodes.
- Coordinate with ICU, emergency, radiology, physiotherapy, nursing, pharmacy, and diagnostics teams.
- Support urgent neuro care and ensure timely communication with senior consultants.
- Maintain accurate case sheets, progress notes, prescriptions, referral notes, and discharge documentation.
- Counsel patients and relatives under supervision about disease condition, treatment plan, rehabilitation, and follow-up.
- Follow hospital protocols, clinical safety, patient privacy, and documentation standards.
- Support multidisciplinary treatment for complex neuro cases.
- Provide accurate, timely, and compassionate neurology care support.
