OPD-IPD Coordinator

The OPD-IPD Coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient services between outpatient and inpatient departments. The includes supporting patient registration, admission, consultation coordination, discharge support, documentation, and communication between departments. The candidate should ensure patients and attendants receive timely guidance and smooth hospital service throughout their care journey.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate patient flow between OPD, IPD, admission, billing, and nursing teams.
• Assist patients with registration, consultation, admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Guide patients and attendants regarding hospital procedures and department locations.
• Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff for patient updates and service requirements.
• Maintain patient-related records, admission documents, and coordination notes.
• Track pending patient services and follow up with concerned departments.
• Help reduce patient waiting time and improve service experience.
• Support bed allocation coordination and patient movement when required.
• Assist in discharge coordination with billing, nursing, pharmacy, and medical records teams.
• Handle patient queries politely and escalate concerns to senior staff.
• Ensure proper communication between clinical and administrative departments.
• Follow hospital SOPs, patient safety norms, and documentation standards.
• Support daily reporting for OPD-IPD activities and patient coordination.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while dealing with patient information.
