Job Description
Trainee - Nursing is responsible for assisting nursing staff and healthcare teams in providing basic patient care while gaining practical clinical experience in a hospital environment. The involves supporting patient monitoring, assisting during nursing procedures, maintaining patient records, and learning clinical protocols under the supervision of senior nurses and medical professionals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist nursing staff in providing basic patient care and support services.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report abnormalities to senior nursing staff.
- Support patient hygiene, comfort, mobility, and daily care activities.
- Assist in administering medications and treatments under supervision.
- Help during patient admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
- Maintain accurate nursing records and patient documentation as instructed.
- Assist doctors and nurses during examinations, procedures, and emergency situations.
- Follow infection control practices, safety standards, and hospital protocols.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of patient care areas and nursing stations.
- Support preparation and handling of medical equipment and nursing supplies.
- Coordinate with healthcare teams for smooth patient care and ward management.
- Attend nursing rounds, shift handovers, and training sessions regularly.
- Provide compassionate and respectful care to patients and their families.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and hospital records.
- Learn and follow clinical procedures, nursing techniques, and healthcare guidelines.
- Assist in monitoring stock levels of nursing supplies and report shortages when required.
- Participate in patient education and awareness activities under supervision.
- Support emergency response activities and critical patient care when assigned.
- Maintain professionalism, discipline, and ethical behavior at all times.
- Participate in hospital training programs, workshops, and skill development activities.
- Perform additional nursing support responsibilities assigned by senior nurses or management.
