Job Description
The Billing Executive will be responsible for preparing and processing patient bills, coordinating with departments and insurance providers, and ensuring accuracy in billing and collections. The requires strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of hospital billing systems and procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and generate accurate OPD and IPD bills as per hospital tariffs.
- Verify patient details, services rendered, and charges before final billing.
- Coordinate with departments to ensure timely and correct billing entries.
- Handle billing queries from patients and provide necessary clarifications.
- Process advance payments, deposits, and final settlements.
- Manage discharge billing and ensure timely completion for patient discharge.
- Coordinate with TPA/insurance companies for cashless and reimbursement cases.
- Prepare and verify insurance documents and claim-related paperwork.
- Track pending payments and follow up for collections.
- Maintain billing records, reports, and documentation accurately.
- Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies and financial procedures.
- Assist in handling refunds, adjustments, and billing corrections.
- Support audits by providing necessary billing data and records.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient financial and medical information.
- Use hospital billing software efficiently for data entry and reporting.
- Coordinate with finance and accounts departments for reconciliation.
- Ensure proper documentation for medico-legal and insurance cases.
- Maintain professionalism and provide courteous service to patients.
- Participate in process improvements to enhance billing efficiency.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
