Packing - Officer (Sterile)

The Packing – Officer (Sterile) will oversee sterile product packaging operations including labeling, inspection, sealing, and final packing. The involves ensuring proper line clearance, conducting in-process quality checks, handling packaging machinery, and maintaining GMP-compliant documentation. The candidate will also coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and audit readiness in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Execute and supervise sterile packing operations including labeling, inspection, overprinting, sealing, and final packaging.
• Ensure proper line clearance, area readiness, and machine setup before starting batch packing.
• Verify availability and correctness of packing materials prior to batch execution.
• Perform in-process checks such as leak tests, particulate checks, label verification, and carton inspection.
• Ensure packaging integrity and compliance with quality standards and SOPs.
• Maintain accurate Batch Packing Records (BPR), logbooks, and cleaning records as per GMP guidelines.
• Operate and troubleshoot packaging equipment such as labeling machines, overprinters, blister machines, and cartonators.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure minimal downtime through timely interventions.
• Coordinate with QA for in-process approvals, line clearance, and deviation handling.
• Ensure strict adherence to sterile area protocols and contamination control practices.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper environmental conditions in the packing area.
• Follow safety guidelines, PPE usage, and EHS requirements at all times.
• Support validation, qualification, and new product packing trials.
• Ensure audit readiness of packing area and documentation for regulatory inspections (USFDA, MHRA, WHO, EU-GMP).
• entify and report deviations, non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with warehouse for timely availability of packing materials.
• Assist maintenance team during equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with data integrity and documentation practices.
• Monitor productivity and suggest process improvements for efficiency enhancement.
• Train and guide operators on packing procedures and compliance requirements.
• Ensure proper handling and reconciliation of packing materials.
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
• Maintain discipline and adherence to company policies and procedures.
