Physician Assistant - Gastroenterology and GI Surgery

Apollo Hospitals is hiring a Physician Assistant for Gastroenterology and GI Surgery to support doctors in clinical care, patient assessment, documentation, emergency support, and coordination. The candidate should have B.Sc Physician Assistant or relevant qualification with knowledge of medicine, critical care, nursing support, and surgical care processes. The requires strong clinical discipline and patient-focused communication.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Assist consultants in gastroenterology and GI surgery care.
• Support patient assessment, examination, and clinical documentation.
• Coordinate investigations, procedures, and treatment plans.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to doctors.
• Assist in emergency and critical care situations when required.
• Support pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and case notes.
• Communicate patient instructions clearly and professionally.
• Coordinate with nurses, technicians, and hospital teams.
• Ensure patient safety and infection control practices.
• Support OPD, ward, and procedure-related workflows.
• Follow consultant instructions and hospital clinical protocols.
