Home Care Nurse

A Home Care Nurse provides personalized medical care to patients in their homes, ensuring comfort, safety, and continuity of care. The nurse is responsible for managing both critical and non-critical patients independently, delivering high-quality clinical services while maintaining accurate documentation and communication with healthcare teams and family members.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and record vital signs accurately (BP, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation).
• Provide direct patient care including hygiene, mobility assistance, and medication administration.
• Handle critical care cases, including:
  • Ventilator management
  • ICU setup at home
• Perform Ryle’s Tube (R.T.) feeding and ensure proper tube care.
• Conduct suctioning procedures (oral and tracheal) safely.
• Prevent and manage bed sores through proper patient positioning and skin care.
• Perform catheterization and maintain catheter hygiene.
• Maintain detailed patient records and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, patients, and family members regarding patient condition and care plans.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and infection-free environment at the patient’s residence.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: B.Sc Nursing / GNM
• Valid registration with any State Nursing Council
• Prior clinical experience (hospital/ICU preferred)
• Must provide salary proof from previous/current employer

Work Environment & Shift Details

• Location: Patient homes across Chennai
• Shift Options:
  • 12-hour shift
  • 24-hour shift (with overtime and incentives)
