Senior Resident - General Surgery

The Senior Resident - General Surgery / Urology will support surgical and urology patient care, OPD/IPD management, emergency surgical support, operative assistance, post-operative monitoring, and clinical documentation at Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Bengaluru. This requires MS or DNB qualification with 0–1 year of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate surgical and urology patients in OPD, emergency, ward, and ICU settings.
• Assist consultants during rounds, procedures, surgeries, and post-operative care.
• Manage cases related to abdominal pain, wounds, trauma, urinary complaints, stones, and surgical emergencies.
• Review lab reports, imaging, ultrasound, CT, X-ray, and clinical progress.
• Coordinate with OT, anesthesia, ICU, nursing, radiology, laboratory, and blood bank teams.
• Maintain clinical notes, operative records, consent forms, prescriptions, and discharge documentation.
• Support admission, transfer, discharge, and referral processes.
• Monitor post-operative recovery, wound care, drains, pain, and complications.
• Respond to emergency calls and escalate critical cases promptly.
• Counsel patients and relatives under consultant guidance.
• Follow surgical safety, infection control, and hospital SOPs.
• Ensure safe, timely, and professional surgical care support.
