Senior Resident - Anesthesia

The Senior Resident - Anesthesia will support anesthesia services, pre-anesthesia evaluation, intraoperative monitoring, recovery care, emergency airway support, pain management, and OT coordination at Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Bengaluru. This requires MD or DNB Anesthesia qualification with 2–3 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-anesthesia checkups, patient assessment, and anesthesia risk evaluation.
• Support anesthesia planning for surgical and procedural cases.
• Monitor patients during anesthesia, surgery, and recovery.
• Manage airway support, vitals, fluids, pain control, and emergency response under protocol.
• Coordinate with surgeons, OT nurses, ICU, recovery, ward, and emergency teams.
• Maintain anesthesia records, consent details, PAC notes, and post-operative documentation.
• Support emergency airway management, code blue response, and critical care support.
• Ensure anesthesia equipment, drugs, and monitoring support are ready before procedures.
• Follow OT safety, infection control, patient safety, and clinical protocols.
• Counsel patients when required regarding anesthesia process and precautions.
• Participate in OT planning, clinical meetings, and quality improvement activities.
• Ensure safe and professional anesthesiology support.
