Resident - Ward

The Resident - Ward / Oncology will support ward-based patient care, oncology patient monitoring, clinical documentation, consultant coordination, emergency response, and treatment follow-up at Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Bengaluru. This requires MBBS qualification with 0–10 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend admitted patients in ward, oncology, ICU, and assigned clinical areas.
• Take patient history, assess condition, and support diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Assist consultants during rounds, admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
• Monitor vitals, lab reports, treatment response, chemotherapy-related symptoms, and clinical progress.
• Maintain case sheets, progress notes, prescriptions, handovers, and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, oncology, and billing teams.
• Respond to emergency calls and escalate critical cases promptly.
• Support patient counselling under consultant guidance.
• Track pending investigations, reports, and treatment instructions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and proper clinical documentation.
• Follow hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.
• Deliver safe, timely, and professional ward and oncology support.
