Resident Officer - Medical Services

Resident Officer - Medical Services is responsible for providing continuous medical support, monitoring patient care activities, and assisting in the smooth functioning of clinical operations within the hospital. The involves attending patient rounds, coordinating with consultants and healthcare teams, handling emergency situations, maintaining medical documentation, and ensuring quality patient care services.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage day-to-day medical services and patient care activities.
• Conduct regular patient rounds and assess patient conditions.
• Coordinate with consultants, specialists, and healthcare teams regarding patient treatment plans.
• Attend and manage emergency medical cases and provide immediate clinical support.
• Monitor critically ill patients and ensure timely medical intervention when required.
• Maintain accurate patient records, admission notes, progress notes, discharge summaries, and medical documentation.
• Follow up on laboratory investigations, diagnostic reports, and treatment procedures.
• Ensure smooth coordination between departments for effective patient management.
• Respond promptly to patient complaints, medical concerns, and emergency situations.
• Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergency interventions.
• Ensure compliance with hospital clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and infection control practices.
• Support admission, discharge, transfer, and referral processes for patients.
• Maintain communication with nursing staff and healthcare teams regarding patient updates.
• Ensure proper handover and takeover during shift changes.
• Participate in medical audits, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records and medical information.
• Prepare clinical reports and updates for senior management or consultants when required.
• Support implementation of NABH standards and hospital operational guidelines.
• Participate in training sessions, emergency drills, and continuous medical education activities.
