Junior Consultant – Obstetrics & Gynecology

The Junior Consultant – Obstetrics & Gynecology will be involved in diagnosing and managing a wide range of women’s health conditions, supporting pregnancy care, and assisting in surgical and non-surgical procedures. This requires strong clinical knowledge, patient-centric approach, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for obstetric and gynecological conditions.
• Manage antenatal, postnatal, and high-risk pregnancy cases.
• Conduct routine check-ups, screenings, and preventive care for women’s health.
• Assist and perform normal deliveries and support cesarean sections when required.
• Handle gynecological procedures and minor surgeries under supervision or independently as per experience.
• Monitor patient progress and ensure proper follow-up care.
• Provide counseling on reproductive health, family planning, and fertility issues.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Coordinate with senior consultants and multidisciplinary teams for patient management.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, guidelines, and hospital policies.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care when required.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and preventive healthcare.
• Maintain hygiene, infection control, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and clinical meetings.
