Jr. Consultant – Cardiology

The Jr. Consultant – Cardiology will play a key in delivering clinical cardiology services, interpreting diagnostic tests, and assisting in interventional procedures. This requires strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment to ensure optimal patient care.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of cardiovascular diseases including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and hypertension.
• Conduct detailed patient evaluations including medical history, physical examinations, and risk assessments.
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as ECG, echocardiography, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and cardiac imaging.
• Assist in interventional cardiology procedures such as coronary angiography, angioplasty, and stenting.
• Provide pre-procedure counseling and obtain informed consent from patients.
• Monitor patients during and after procedures to ensure safety and effective recovery.
• Manage cardiac emergencies including myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and acute heart failure.
• Collaborate with senior consultants, cardiac surgeons, and ICU teams for comprehensive care.
• Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, clinical notes, and procedure documentation.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and infection control guidelines.
• Provide follow-up care and monitor patient progress post-treatment or intervention.
• Educate patients and families on lifestyle modifications, medications, and preventive cardiac care.
• Assist in managing critically ill cardiac patients in ICU settings when required.
