Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager – Medical Operations

The Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Medical Operations will be responsible for coordinating clinical and non-clinical functions, ensuring adherence to SOPs, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards such as NABH/JCI. This requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to collaborate across departments to deliver high-quality patient care.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate medical services to ensure high standards of patient care and service quality.
• Monitor clinical indicators and performance metrics to ensure continuous quality assurance.
• Implement and ensure adherence to SOPs across all clinical specialties.
• Conduct regular medical audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (NABH/JCI).
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
• Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for patient admission, care, and discharge.
• Set up and ensure effective functioning of clinical and non-clinical committees.
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and quality assurance programs.
• Work closely with the Nursing Superintendent to maintain high standards of nursing care.
• Ensure continuity of patient care through effective duty roster management for medical staff.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to duty schedules of medical officers, technicians, and paramedical staff.
• Participate in and organize training programs such as ACLS, BLS, CMEs, and in-house sessions.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills with staff and management.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and organizational information.
• Promote effective communication and collaboration across departments.
• Ensure thorough understanding and compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with the emergency team for medico-legal cases and critical situations.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to organize medical camps, CMEs, and outreach programs.
• Coordinate with HR for recruitment, onboarding, and staff induction processes.
• Monitor operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure timely reporting and documentation for audits and management review.
• Support implementation of new systems, processes, and healthcare initiatives.
• Handle escalations and ensure prompt resolution of operational issues.
• Stay updated with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
• Contribute to overall operational excellence and patient satisfaction.
