Job Description
Care Hospitals is seeking an OT Technician to manage pre-operative preparation, assist surgeons during procedures, and handle post-operative OT maintenance. The involves ensuring all surgical equipment is functional, supporting patient care during surgeries, and maintaining a sterile and well-equipped environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare operation theatre by arranging surgical instruments, equipment, and required materials
- Ensure all OT equipment, anesthesia machines, and emergency systems are functional and ready
- Verify availability of medical gases, drugs, IV fluids, and blood products before procedures
- Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgeries, including patient positioning and instrument handling
- Monitor equipment performance and address any technical issues during procedures
- Ensure proper documentation, patient readiness, and availability of required reports before surgery
- Maintain cleanliness, sterilization, and infection control protocols in the OT
- Support post-operative care by preparing OT for subsequent procedures
- Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens, cultures, and biopsy samples
- Maintain inventory, crash cart readiness, and compliance with safety standards
