Scientific Officer

The Scientific Officer will perform laboratory testing, sample processing, analyzer operation, documentation, and quality control activities in a diagnostic lab environment. This requires B.Sc or M.Sc qualification, technical knowledge, GLP practices, and strong attention to detail. The candidate will ensure accurate testing and timely report support.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests as per laboratory SOPs and approved methods.
• Process patient samples with correct identification and safety practices.
• Operate analyzers, microscopes, and laboratory instruments as assigned.
• Maintain QC records, test logs, sample registers, and equipment documentation.
• Prepare reagents, controls, and test materials when required.
• Identify sample mismatch, rejection, or testing errors and report immediately.
• Follow biosafety, infection control, GLP, and quality standards.
• Support calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting coordination.
• Coordinate with accessioning and reporting teams for timely workflow.
• Ensure timely processing of routine and urgent samples.
• Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the laboratory area.
• Support accurate and reliable diagnostic reporting.
