OT Technician

Matis Hospital is seeking a skilled and proactive OT Technician to ensure smooth and safe functioning of the Operating Theatre. The ideal candidate will assist surgical teams, maintain OT equipment, and uphold sterile procedures to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating theatre for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are ready and organized
• Maintain and monitor surgical equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety at all times
• Establish and maintain a sterile environment to prevent infections during surgeries
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during various types of surgeries, providing timely instrument support
• Prepare patients for operative procedures, including positioning and pre-operative care
• Support anesthetists in emergencies both inside and outside the OT room
• Handle post-operative cleaning, sterilization, and organization of OT instruments and equipment
• Maintain accurate records of procedures, equipment usage, and OT activities
• Collaborate with surgical, nursing, and technical teams to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety
• Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on surgical procedures, OT protocols, and equipment handling
