Roles and Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ nutritional status, health conditions, and dietary needs to develop individualized nutrition care plans
• Advise patients on appropriate diets, supplements, and lifestyle changes to support long-term health and disease management
• Recommend specific dietary interventions to physicians for patients with medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, or digestive disorders
• Communicate relevant dietary and nutrition information to doctors, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive treatment aligned with their nutritional requirements
• Consult with doctors to determine the best dietary strategies for patients’ specific medical needs
• Plan and organize meal arrangements for inpatients or patients undergoing specialized treatment
• Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition plans as required to optimize health outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers on healthy eating practices, portion control, and balanced nutrition
