Roles & Responsibilities
1. Assess the nutritional status, growth patterns, dietary habits, and medical history of infants, children, and adolescents through comprehensive evaluations.
2. Develop personalized nutrition plans to support healthy growth, immunity, cognitive development, and age-appropriate nutritional requirements.
3. Manage nutrition interventions for paediatric conditions such as obesity, malnutrition, food allergies, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and feeding difficulties.
4. Collaborate with paediatricians, neonatologists, speech therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated child healthcare support.
5. Educate parents and caregivers on balanced diets, breastfeeding support, complementary feeding, meal planning, healthy eating habits, and nutritional supplementation.
6. Monitor children’s growth, developmental milestones, dietary compliance, and treatment outcomes, adjusting nutrition plans as required.
7. Design therapeutic nutrition strategies for hospitalized children, premature infants, and children with chronic or special healthcare needs.
8. Stay updated with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in paediatric nutrition, child development, and preventive healthcare.
9. Conduct nutrition awareness programs, workshops, and counselling sessions for schools, healthcare institutions, and community wellness initiatives.
10. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, growth records, nutrition assessments, and compliance with
healthcare and child safety standards.
