PET-CT Technician

The PET-CT Technician will support PET-CT imaging procedures, patient preparation, radiology workflow, equipment handling, imaging coordination, documentation, and patient safety at HCG Cancer Centre, Ahmedabad. This requires B.Sc. Medical Imaging Technology qualification with 2–3 years of PET-CT or radiology imaging experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for PET-CT scan procedures as per radiology and nuclear medicine protocol.
• Verify patient details, referral notes, clinical history, consent, and preparation requirements before scan.
• Assist in positioning patients correctly for PET-CT imaging procedures.
• Operate or assist with PET-CT equipment under department protocol and senior guidance.
• Coordinate with radiologists, nuclear medicine team, nursing, front office, and patient care teams.
• Maintain scan logs, patient records, imaging documentation, and equipment usage records.
• Follow radiation safety, patient safety, infection control, and department SOPs.
• Maintain patient privacy, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality during procedures.
• Report equipment issues, image quality concerns, or urgent findings to seniors promptly.
• Support emergency or priority imaging cases as per hospital requirement.
• Ensure proper handling of imaging accessories, consumables, and department materials.
• Deliver accurate, safe, and patient-friendly PET-CT technical support.
