Officer - Plant Maintenance - HVAC - QMS

The Officer – Plant Maintenance / HVAC / QMS will be responsible for maintaining pharmaceutical plant equipment, HVAC systems, utilities, and engineering compliance documentation. The includes preventive maintenance planning, breakdown resolution, HVAC monitoring, QMS support, vendor coordination, and ensuring uninterrupted operation of critical systems while meeting GMP, safety, and regulatory standards.

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for plant equipment and HVAC systems.
• Monitor HVAC operations, pressure differentials, temperature, humidity, air changes, and filter conditions.
• Ensure engineering activities are performed in compliance with GMP, SOPs, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records for maintenance schedules, breakdown reports, equipment history, and utility logs.
• Coordinate with production, QA, and QC teams for planned maintenance and equipment availability.
• Support installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation of equipment and HVAC systems.
• Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive maintenance actions.
• Handle QMS documentation including deviations, CAPA, change control, incident reports, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for AMC, spare parts, calibration, and technical support.
• Ensure timely calibration and qualification of critical instruments and engineering systems.
• Monitor utility systems such as compressed air, purified water, chillers, boilers, and electrical panels.
• Support regulatory audits and internal inspections through proper documentation and area readiness.
• Ensure compliance with EHS guidelines during maintenance, repair, and utility operations.
• Train technicians and operators on equipment handling, safety precautions, and basic maintenance practices.
• Drive improvements in equipment uptime, HVAC performance, energy efficiency, and maintenance compliance.
