Jr Officer- Plant Maintenance - HVAC - QMS

The Jr. Officer – Plant Maintenance / HVAC / QMS will support plant engineering, HVAC maintenance, preventive maintenance, breakdown handling, and QMS documentation activities in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The requires basic technical knowledge of HVAC systems, utilities, equipment maintenance, and GMP requirements to ensure uninterrupted plant operations and compliance with engineering standards.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment, HVAC systems, and utilities.
• Support routine monitoring of HVAC parameters such as temperature, humidity, pressure differential, and airflow.
• Maintain engineering logbooks, maintenance records, checklists, and equipment history cards.
• Follow approved SOPs, safety procedures, and GMP requirements during maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams for equipment availability and maintenance schedules.
• Support calibration, qualification, and validation activities related to HVAC and plant systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and utility-related issues under senior guidance.
• Ensure timely closure of maintenance work orders and documentation requirements.
• Support QMS activities such as deviation reporting, CAPA follow-up, change control, and risk assessment.
• Monitor cleanliness and proper operation of AHUs, chillers, compressors, boilers, and related systems.
• Help maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for engineering support.
• Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and status identification of equipment under maintenance.
• Participate in audit preparation by maintaining engineering documents and compliance records.
• Follow safety guidelines while working with electrical panels, equipment, tools, and utility systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
